UV Reflector


Special reflectors are required for temperature-sensitive substrates. Dichroic reflectors (cold mirrors) are designed for use in high-performance UV applications with simultaneous reduction of infrared radiation and thus heat exposure. Dichroic reflectors are made of various materials glass which are coated several times. The coating absorbs IR radiation and reflects UV radiation.

There are two types of quartz sheets: coated and uncoated. Coated quartz sheet is a kind of quartz reflective sheet with high reflection and low loss, absorbing infrared rays while the ultraviolet transmittance can reach more than 95%, with good heat insulation effect. 

It is the first choice for low temperature UV equipment design.

In the UV curing process, UV lamps work with UV energy will be collected and gathered on the product surface, infrared radiation processing which mainly determines the infrared reflectivity (the role of the reflector) and infrared transmittance of the two aspects of the impact. 

In the UV lamp below the addition of quartz glass filters. 

Characterized by transmitting ultraviolet radiation and reflecting infrared radiation, it reduces the temperature of the substrate surface, i.e., the ambient temperature, ensures the yield of the cured products, and improves the production efficiency. 

The purpose is to make the ambient temperature under a moderate condition.
