Half Penta Prism

He Rui optics’ A half penta prism is a type of optical prism that is cut from a traditional penta prism in half along its longitudinal axis. It has two reflective surfaces and one refractive surface. The reflective surfaces are usually coated with a thin layer of metal or dielectric to enhance

The half penta prism is commonly used to deflect a light beam by 90 degrees with minimal dispersion and without inverting the image. When light enters one of the larger faces of the prism, it is reflected twice by the two coated surfaces and exits the prism through the opposite large face, emerging at a right angle to its original direction of propagation.

This type of HeRui optics' prism is often used in optical systems where space is limited and a full penta prism would be too large. It is also used in situations where it is necessary to maintain the orientation of the image, such as in some types of periscopes, cameras, and other optical instruments.
