Right Angle Prism Mirror

He Rui optics' right angle prism is an optical prism with two mutually perpendicular reflecting surfaces. This type of prism typically consists of three rectangular faces, with two of these faces (the right angle faces) being perpendicular to each other, and the third face (the base) being parallel to these. When light passes through a right angle prism, it undergoes two reflections, altering the direction of the light beam.

A common application of right angle prisms is as reflectors to change the path of a light beam or to adjust the orientation of an image in optical instruments. Due to the precise angles and reflective properties of right angle prisms, they are often used for accurate deflection of laser beams.A key characteristic of this prism is its high reflectivity, which allows it to reflect most of the incident light in a specific direction with minimal loss of energy.

High-precision Right-Angle Prisms can be used to deviate a light path by 90° or 180°, depending on which surface is used as the input for the light source. These prisms are fabricated from N-BK7, UV fused silica, CaF2, or ZnSe.
